How to accept donations through Cash App (via Stripe)

After you set up Stripe for donations - which already includes payment options for mobile wallets, credit/debit card, ACH, and more - you can also enable the Cash App payment method, allowing your donors to check out and pay with Cash App or use their Cash balance.

Stripe charges a 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee per Cash App transaction, with a $15 dispute charge. This is similar to their other processing rates. Nonprofits may be eligible for reduced processing fees - please reach out to Stripe and expect a response within 14 business days.

Configuring Cash App payments through an existing payment processor can provide additional reporting and insights when it comes time for tax preparation and filing. Organizations should not use "personal" Cash App accounts for accepting payments as potentially violates the Cash App TOS.
